Our lakes filled with sewage.. our roads flooded with rainwater.. and #Hyderabad wants to take up Rainwater Harvesting seriously?? This pond off Road No 6 Jubileehills was “developed” recently.. part of #Rotaryclub sponsor.. We had been consistently posting about the blunder that the concerned depts @GHMCOnline @HMDA_Gov @HMWSSBOnline were doing but none of them bothered and went ahead and ruined a perfect waterbody which now is filled with sewage while the rainwater flowed away.. earlier this water body helped control flooding.. today it is a sewage cess pool thanks to our brilliant planners. When adversities are seen as opportunity.. and when there is no accountability.. what else can we expect?? What kind of thought process do our planners have??? If the awareness of conserving our ecology is lacking we will be happy to organise training sessions for the entire @GHMCOnline team… till they learn. A waterbody being finished off and Dozens of trees have been cut down too!!! A beautiful waterbody in the middle of a concrete jungle first gets filled up with sewage and now is being filled with debris!! For what?? Creating a park??? This has to be UNDONE immediately. These waterbodies.. however small help maintain the water table.. your job, in which you failed miserably, was to ensure sewage didn’t make its way into it.. instead of fixing that and restoring the water body you decide to finish it off??? @Comm_HYDRAA pls consider this as good as occupying a lake in the heart of Jubilee Hills (Road No 5).
