#Hyderabad : #Telangana EAGLE Force, with the assistance of #Goa Police, has apprehended a suspected drug supplier in Goa in connection with an alleged Goa-Hyderabad narcotics network. The accused is being questioned as part of the ongoing investigation into the drug supply chain. The individual was identified as Custodio Fernandes, alias Kristy, a resident of Agar Vaddo in Calangute, North Goa. He was held on Sunday (October 11, 2026) in a joint operation involving the Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE Force), the Hyderabad Enforcement Wing (H-NEW), Hyderabad City Police, and Panjagutta Police. Officials described him as a key figure in supplying narcotics that were then distributed in Hyderabad. The case traces back to May 9, 2026, when Panjagutta Police arrested R. Keshav Raj Singh while he was allegedly attempting to sell drugs to three people. Officers seized 13 grams of MDMA and 7 grams of charas from the dashboard of his car and registered a case under the NDPS Act. During questioning, Singh reportedly told investigators he had travelled to Goa in April and purchased the substances from Kristy for about ₹40,000, planning to resell them for roughly ₹80,000. Financial analysis during the probe revealed credits totalling approximately ₹48.4 lakh in bank accounts examined in connection with the network. Investigators alleged that associates of Fernandes travelled to Hyderabad, delivered drugs to customers, collected cash payments, and deposited the money into accounts linked to him (including through ATMs). More than 25 names of Telangana residents emerged from scrutiny of financial records and phone data; police are verifying their identities, transactions, and any possible involvement. Some reports also mentioned possible links to a Nigerian national known as Nigi, who is said to operate from Goa.Timesofindia. EAGLE Force Director Sandeep Shandilya and other officials stated that the arrest followed sustained investigation, intelligence gathering, and coordination across agencies. The probe is continuing to map the full supply chain, identify additional associates or suppliers (with possible links to other cities), and confirm the nature of the financial transactions. Authorities have emphasised that individuals whose names have surfaced for verification are not automatically deemed involved pending further inquiry. This operation forms part of broader efforts by Telangana’s anti-narcotics units to disrupt interstate drug trafficking networks. The investigation remains ongoing.
