Newlywed Woman Dies After Falling Under RTC Bus Near Malakpet D-Mart X Roads #Hyderabad , October 10, 2026: A newlywed woman died in a road accident near D-Mart X Roads in Malakpet on Saturday after the two-wheeler she was travelling on skidded and she fell under an RTC bus. The deceased, identified as Lavanya (also referred to as B Lavanya), 25, a resident of Saroornagar/LB Nagar, had married Srikanth (B Srikanth) on August 30. The couple had been married for less than two months. According to reports, Lavanya was travelling with her husband on a two-wheeler when the vehicle lost control near the D-Mart signal. She fell onto the road and was run over by the rear wheels of an RTC bus travelling on the same route. She sustained severe injuries and died on the spot. Some accounts indicate the couple had stopped at a traffic signal and the rider lost control as they moved forward when the light turned green. CCTV footage reportedly captured the incident. The accident occurred within the limits of the Chaderghat police station. Police arrived at the scene, took the bus and its driver into custody, shifted the body for postmortem examination, and initiated an investigation into the circumstances that led to the two-wheeler losing control.
