Public Feedback Matters! #Telangana Govt to Review METRO–RTC COMMON PASS FARES in #Hyderabad . Commuters’ concerns heard, affordability back in focus! The Telangana government has decided to review the recently introduced Metro Rail–RTC Common Pass fares following a series of complaints from Hyderabad commuters who found the prices too steep. Under the current system, a daily common pass costs ₹400, including ₹300 for Metro travel and ₹100 for RTC buses. The monthly pass is priced at ₹8,500, comprising ₹7,000 for Metro and ₹1,500 for RTC services. With commuters expressing concern over the financial burden, the government has decided to reassess the fare structure to make the integrated travel facility more affordable and accessible. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has suggested a review, and Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar announced that a meeting with senior officials will be held soon to examine the fares and work out a passenger-friendly pricing model. Public transport integration must ease the burden on commuters, not add to it! A common pass linking Metro Rail and RTC buses can make daily travel more convenient, reduce dependence on private vehicles and encourage greater use of public transport. Affordable pricing will be crucial to achieving these goals. The government has assured commuters that their feedback will be taken into account while finalising the revised fare structure. The Metro–RTC Common Pass must be convenient, practical and pocket-friendly for #Hyderabad ’s daily passengers. #Telangana #Hyderabad #MetroRail #TSRTC #PublicTransport #CommuterFriendly #MetroRTCcommonpass #TGSRTC #HydMetro #HMR #HMRL #HydMetroRail
