The message for each and every public representative or public servant: @KTRBRS @BRSparty @revanth_anumula @INCTelangana @BJP4Telangana @JaiTDP @TDPTelangana @AAPTELANGANA @aimim_national @GHMCOnline @CommissionrGHMC Be it SRDP, H-CITI’s 14 flyovers or now this 4.3-km elevated corridor, the approach remains the same: convince Hyderabadis that more flyovers around KBR will solve our traffic problems without scientific evidence or a meaningful public hearing. A CM or Municipal Commissioner who genuinely wants to make Hyderabad a liveable city should: 🎯 Invest in public transport, urban mobility, increasing green cover and better traffic management. 🎯 Protect KBR National Park’s Eco-Sensitive Zone (25–35 m) instead of filling it with more concrete. 🎯 If infrastructure is still needed after exploring alternatives, make the DPR, cumulative EIA, socio-economic and intergenerational impact studies publicly available. 🎯 Conduct the legally required public hearing and allow citizens and independent experts to scrutinise the findings. Hyderabadis should not simply accept “development” because it is presented as the solution. Be informed. Ask questions. Ask for the scientific studies. Ask to see the evidence. Unless we demand scrutiny, we will keep being told that every new flyover is the answer—while Hyderabad pays the price, both today and in the future. This has been happening for the past 10 years.
