When will @kmc_kolkata do the same? In #Kolkata many Developers have covered unsold car parking spaces and turned them into their commercial godowns in residential buildings! They pay and get protection to run this from local Councillor's Syndicate. KMC also provides support by refusing to call it a Major deviation! They instead highlight minor deviations of flat-owners of such buildings to protect the promoters in their illegality. This also complicates the CC process and allows this illegality to perpetuate. Would request Hon'ble CM @SuvenduWB to kindly ensure that such blatant illegalities are strictly not allowed in @BJP4Bengal controlled KMC of the future. @paulagnimitra1 @sajalghoshofc @swapan55 @IndranilKhan @SamikBJP @DrSukantaBJP @me_locket @amitmalviya @Amitava_BJP @abhaykol @HardeepSPuri @narendramodi @narendramodi_in @amitshah বাংলার টিনটিন (@Banglar_Tintin) 🚨 NKDA FLAGS 38 BUILDINGS IN NEW TOWN FOR ILLEGAL COMMERCIAL USE! The New Town Kolkata Development Authority (NKDA) has issued stop-operation notices to 38 residential buildings in just a fortnight for allegedly operating commercial establishments without the required permissions. 🔹 38 buildings flagged following inspections across New Town. 🔹 No commercial permission: Officials found that the owners had failed to produce documents authorising non-residential activities. 🔹 Fire safety concerns: Several establishments were reportedly operating without fire licences, raising questions about safety compliance. 🔹 Rules already exist: Residential buildings can be used for certain commercial activities covering up to 40% of the total floor area, but prior NKDA permission and compliance with applicable conditions are mandatory. 🔹 Enforcement drive: The authority is conducting regular surveys and inspections to identify violations and ensure compliance with building-use regulations. The objective is to prevent unauthorised commercialisation of residential properties while protecting residents and maintaining planned urban development. — https://nitter.kareem.one/Banglar_Tintin/status/2109208164965155318#m
