Read original๐จ Security Guard Allegedly Provoking Dogs by Throwing Stones on them in #IIT #HYDERABAD Campus ๐๐ A fresh video reportedly recorded on 6 Sept 2026 shows an IITH security guard throwing stones toward a quietly sitting community dog near academic buildings raising serious questions about the treatment of dogs on campus. This comes amid student allegations reported by Deccan Chronicle of severe starvation, puppies dying, water bowls being removed/broken, feeders being photographed and reported, โน5,000 fines/warnings and students allegedly removed from hostels for feeding dogs, alongside wider hostility toward community dogs and their caregivers. deccanchronicle.com/southernโฆ If these allegations are true, IIT Hyderabad must act immediately: preserve CCTV, identify the guard(s), investigate every complaint, ensure food and water reach dogs in their territories, and establish a proper animal-welfare committee instead of allowing hostility to escalate. An institute whose motto is โInventing and Innovating in Technology for Humanityโ should demonstrate that humanity includes compassion for animals. @IITHyderabad @TelanganaCMO Please Stop harassment of Animal Caregivers law abiding Students in Campus by Other Students & Don't remove them just for Following their duties under Article 51AG of Indian Constitution. @PetaIndia @AwbiBallabhgarh @BlueCross_ Protect the dogs. Investigate the alleged cruelty. #IITH #IITHyderabad #AnimalCruelty #SaveIndianDogs #CommunityDogs #AnimalWelfare Video yash saghal (@YSaghal) Security guards at IIT Hyderabad were caught throwing sticks at stray dogs and intentionally provoking them.
