BITS Pilani #Hyderabad #Telangana : Where are the 10–15 community Indian dogs reportedly removed in September? Hyderabad has no publicly identified designated shelter confirmed for these dogs. If GHMC has transferred them to an ABC centre, authorities must disclose their location, welfare status and the legal basis for keeping them there. An ABC centre must not simply be assumed to be a designated shelter. Humane capture and compliance with the ABC Rules, 2023, and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960, must be demonstrated. We respectfully demand: - Immediate disclosure of every dog’s whereabouts and condition. - Capture, sterilisation, vaccination and transfer records. - An independent inquiry into whether humane procedures and applicable legal directions were followed. GHMC and BITS Hyderabad must provide answers and take immediate corrective actions. Dogs are not disposable. They are living beings. Treat them with compassion. Peaceful Coexistence is the key. Educate your administration on compassionate handling of Indian Animals. No dog should disappear into an opaque system. Stop Relocation of Sterilized Dogs into Abc centres. It's a violation of SC order, ABC Rules and PCA ACT @GHMCOnline @bitspilaniindia @BITSPilaniGoa @bitsalumni @bitshyderabad #Hyderabad #AnimalWelfare #SaveIndianDogs #StopRelocation #India Video Tanya (@SnooopSnoopy) BITS PILANI, HYDERABAD: COMMUNITY DOGS REMOVED FOR NO REASON. Students allege that 10–15 innocent campus dogs were captured and taken to a GHMC/ABC shelter in September. Despite appeals for their return, reports suggest the dogs may not be brought back.
