Could be a #Chennai and north interiors day tonight and tomorrow night -early morning. Let's hope for best. #Bengaluru and eastern karnataka can receive moderate rains (isolated heavy) in the evening hours of today and tomorrow. Today (Oct 16): The Western Ghats remain active, with heavy to locally very heavy rains possible over #Nilgiris , #Coimbatore , #Theni , #Dindigul and #Tenkasi . Could be less intense in these regions than yesterday's spell. Tonight into tomorrow morning: Rainfall prospects look favourable for north coastal TN, particularly #Chennai , Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram and Chengalpattu. Moderate spells with locally heavy bursts are possible. Oct 17–18: Rainfall activity is likely to continue across northern and northwestern TN, including Vellore, Tirupattur, Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri. #Chennai could see further spells, particularly during the night and early morning.
