Yesterday and today were just trailers for the heavier rains ahead for Chennai and the #KTCC region, with the first major, widespread heavy spell expected between October 20th and 23rd. You can’t take away heat and rain from #Chennai ,even during El Niño years, the lack of thunderstorms during the Southwest Monsoon (SWM) is usually compensated for during the Northeast Monsoon (NEM) season. In fact, among the plains, Chennai and KTCC receive more rain than any other area #NEM2026
