Oct 13, 2026: The Northeast Monsoon is around the corner! 🌧️ Rains are expected to pick up from October 14, becoming more widespread during October 15–18 across the NEM core regions. Moderate to heavy spells are possible along the north coastal TN, particularly #Chennai #Pondy #Cuddalore #Karaikal #Nagai and #Thanjavur , extending into coastal Andhra Pradesh. #Bengaluru and parts of interior eastern Karnataka could also see increased thunderstorm activity. The evolving rainfall pattern looks favourable for the NEM onset, possibly around October 15–16, though official confirmation is awaited. With a promising start and favourable evolving weather patterns, there is reason to be optimistic about a good Northeast Monsoon season across the core regions! Elsewhere, #Kerala , #Odisha , parts of central and northeast India could see scattered to widespread rains, while #JammuKashmir , Himachal Pradesh and northwest India may receive showers around October 14–15. #NEM2026 #TamilNadu Disclaimer: Personal interpretation based on high-resolution forecasts and multi-model outputs from global forecasting systems.
