She claims companies prefer Telugu and Tamil speakers, reject candidates whose resumes mention Kannada, and recruit people from other states at lower salaries. She has also alleged that campus recruitment drives are not being conducted at Bengaluru colleges and appealed to Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar to intervene. Responding to the concerns, Shivakumar on Sunday warned private institutions of action if they are found deliberately sidelining Kannadigas during hiring. In a post on X, he said the government would not allow the rights, dignity and job opportunities of locals to be disregarded, adding that Karnataka takes pride in the talent and capabilities of its people. However, the allegations in the viral video have not been independently verified. #DKShivakumar #Karnataka #Bengaluru #ITsector #Siddaramaiah Video — http://nitter.meowing.monster/CNNnews18/status/2114683070054027765#m
