The newer ones started with Paav. Even today, the old popular places like Shri Krishna, Bedekar, Vaidya... serve bread slice... Not Paav. Amit Paranjape (@aparanjape) Paav became popular in the 1970s - with its use in Paav Bhaaji and Vadaa Paav. Then it logically was paired with Misal as well. The new Misal restaurants adopted it.
