#IndianNavy ’s Next Generation Offshore Patrol Vessel ‘Shreyas’ launched at GRSE, #Kolkata . Yard 3040, indigenously designed and built, was launched today in the presence of Vice Chief of Naval Staff Vice Adm Ajay Kochhar. ‘Shreyas’ will strengthen the Navy’s capabilities in maritime surveillance, search & rescue, protection of offshore assets, HADR and anti-piracy operations. The NGOPVs are being built concurrently at GRSE and #Goa Shipyard Ltd, under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India
